On October 24th at 12:00 PM, a virtual event will take place organized by Latvian Corporate Social Responsibility platform “CSR Latvia” and communication agency “Miltton Latvia.” Within this event, there will be an expert discussion on consumer preferences titled “What Consumers Expect from Companies” and a presentation of sociological research data from the Baltic states.
In the autumn of 2023, a sociological research study was conducted in all three Baltic countries to investigate:
– What consumers expect from companies in terms of sustainability and environmental protection.
– Factors that indicate corporate responsibility in the consumers’ understanding.
– Criteria influencing consumer choices.
– Products or services that pose the highest sustainability risks in the consumers’ perception, and more.
The data from this study reveals that nearly half (48%) of the respondents believe that companies in the construction industry pose the greatest sustainability risks. When thinking about what matters companies should focus on in the future, survey participants more frequently mentioned the subsistence level (37%), reducing air pollution (34%), controlling pollution in the Baltic Sea (29%), ensuring appropriate working conditions (29%), and reducing plastic waste (28%).
The experts during the discussion will also analyse the research data, and feature the participation of Helena Tammemäe, Social and Environmental Responsibility Expert from the Miltton Group (Estonia), Zanda Šadre, Corporate Responsibility and Communications Director at “Rimi Baltic,”, Gints Miķelsons, the Head of the Latvian Builders Association and Sabīna Alta, Development Director of “Laflora”.
The discussion will be moderated by Arvis Zēmanis.
You can follow the event and ask questions of interest to you on the CSR Latvia Facebook page or the Miltton Latvia Facebook page.
The event will be held in both Latvian and English.
